Terms of Service — Lehko

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Lehko, a mobile application for calorie and nutrition tracking, available on iOS and Android (the “App”, the “Service”). The Service is operated by a sole proprietor registered in Ukraine, trading as Lehko (“Lehko”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Our full registration details are available on request — write to [email protected] and we will send them.

By downloading, accessing, or using Lehko, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Using Lehko means you’ve read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time under Section 13. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Lehko helps you log meals and track nutrition. You can add food by taking a photo, scanning a barcode, describing a meal by voice, or searching manually. Photos are analyzed by a third-party AI vision model (Google Gemini) to identify food and estimate calories and macronutrients. Barcode scans are matched against the Open Food Facts database. You can optionally connect Apple Health to sync relevant data.

Lehko offers a free tier and paid subscription plans with additional features, described in Section 5.

3. Eligibility and Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use Lehko. The App processes body metrics and other health-adjacent data, and we don’t offer accounts to anyone younger. By using the App, you confirm you meet this requirement. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we’ll close it and delete the associated data.

4. Account Registration

To use Lehko, you create an account. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Some features of Lehko require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and managed on our side via Adapty, a subscription infrastructure provider.

Plans. Lehko offers Monthly and Yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. Prices may vary by country or region. The full localized price for each billing period is displayed in the app and by the App Store or Google Play before purchase.

Free trial. The Yearly plan includes a 3-day free trial where displayed by the App Store or Google Play. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the localized annual price shown before purchase. The subscription then renews automatically unless cancelled.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your payment method on file with the App Store or Google Play will be charged for the renewal at the then-current price.

Price changes. If we change subscription prices, we’ll notify existing subscribers in advance, as required by Apple and Google. A price change applies to your next renewal, not to a period you’ve already paid for.

How to cancel. You can cancel anytime, and cancelling is exactly as easy as subscribing:

  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Lehko → Cancel Subscription.
  • Android: Google Play app → Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lehko → Cancel.

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access to paid features until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. We don’t process cancellations directly — refunds and cancellation are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.

Refunds. Refund requests go through Apple or Google, per their standard policies. We don’t issue refunds directly through the App.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App’s source code, except as permitted by law.
  • Interfere with the App’s operation, security, or the servers and networks it depends on.
  • Use automated means to access the App outside of its intended interface.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don’t have the right to share.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, as described in Section 11.

Fair use of photo scanning

Photo scanning and meal descriptions are analysed by a paid third-party AI service, so each one has a real cost to us. A subscription gives you scanning for normal personal meal tracking — it is not a licence to run unlimited automated requests.

To keep the service available and affordable for everyone, we apply fair-use limits to how much scanning a single account may do in a day and in a rolling 30-day period. These limits are set well above any realistic personal use: if you log every meal you eat, including retakes, you will not reach them. If an account does reach a limit, scanning pauses for that account until the period rolls over and other features keep working. We may adjust these limits as costs and usage patterns change, and we will not reduce them in a way that affects ordinary personal use without telling you first.

Accounts that reach a limit through automated or scripted requests, or by sharing one subscription across many accounts, may be suspended under this section rather than merely paused.

7. Health & Medical Disclaimer

Lehko’s calorie and macronutrient estimates — whether from photo analysis, barcode lookup, voice description, or manual entry — are approximations. AI-based food recognition and portion estimation can be inaccurate, and nutrition database entries may not match your specific food or preparation exactly.

Lehko is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice. Nothing in the App is a substitute for guidance from a qualified physician, registered dietitian, or other healthcare professional. If you have a medical condition, an eating disorder, or specific dietary needs, consult a professional before making decisions based on information from the App.

8. Intellectual Property

Lehko, including its design, code, branding, and content we create, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal devices for its intended purpose. You don’t acquire any ownership rights by using the App.

Your meal logs, photos, and personal data remain yours; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle them.

9. Third-Party Services

Lehko relies on the following third-party services to operate:

  • Google Gemini API — analyzes meal photos to identify food and estimate nutrition.
  • Open Food Facts — an open database used for barcode-based food lookups.
  • Adapty — manages subscription infrastructure, entitlements, and purchase records.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — process payments and manage subscription billing.
  • Apple Health (if you choose to connect it) — syncs health data you authorize.

Your use of these integrations is also subject to the respective third party’s own terms. We select these providers carefully, but we don’t control their availability, accuracy, or uptime, and we’re not responsible for their failures or changes.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that nutrition estimates will be accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including damages related to health decisions made based on information in the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

You can stop using Lehko at any time by deleting your account in the App or by contacting us at [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you delete your account.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible, we’ll give you advance notice.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved in the courts of Ukraine, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts — in which case that right isn’t affected by this section.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, mandatory provisions of your local consumer protection law apply regardless of this governing-law clause.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves or as required by law. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes, we’ll notify you in the App or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Lehko after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
